Solarport’s gabion basket foundation consists of S450 grade steel base plates with ZM800 pre-galvanised coating housed within Galfan Class A (Zn95%/AI5%) coated welded mesh gabion baskets filled with large rocks, gravel, or recycled materials. When used in solar farm construction, they act as a stable base or ballast system for mounting structures, helping support the mounting system without extensive ground penetration.

The gabion basket foundation is compatible with Solarport’s fixed tilt system and is specifically designed for sloped sites up to 10° where ground embedment is not viable.
