    Commercial & Residential

    Foundation:

    Piles

    Summary:

In 2024, 2,200 solar panels were installed on to our 2-in-Portrait mounting system.

This solar farm aims to address rising energy demands while reducing Crow Wood Hotel's carbon footprint, with the ultimate goal of achieving energy self-sufficiency, particularly during the summer months.

The 1,127kWp solar installation will generate 981,927kWh of clean energy annually, enough to power around 350 average UK homes.

The system is designed to offset 196 tonnes of CO₂ each year. It now accounts for a significant 27% of their electricity needs, forming a key component in the resort’s energy strategy and sustainability initiatives.

  • Highlands End Holiday Park, 198 kWp

    Commercial & Residential

    Foundation:

    Piled

    Summary:

The solar farm comprises 300 panels arranged across 15 mounting tables in a 2-in-portrait configuration, providing a total installed capacity of 198 kWp. It is expected to generate approximately 225,000 kWh of electricity each year, enough to meet the annual energy needs of around 60 average households. The solar farm has also been designed so that sheep grazing can continue within the site.

The installation has been positioned to limit visibility from most areas of the park. An apple orchard has been planted around the solar array to provide natural screening while also enhancing biodiversity and creating additional wildlife habitat. In addition, hedgerows will be planted along two park footpaths to help further reduce the visual impact of the development.

  • Belton Farm, 1.5 MWp

    Commercial & Residential

    Foundation:

    Piled

    Summary:

This 1.5MWp solar farm at Belton Farm, a renowned cheesemaker, in Shropshire, features our commercial and residential 2-in-Portrait, Twin Post, Piled mounting system.

The array will directly power their cheesemaking facility with renewable electricity, reducing their carbon footprint by an estimated 350 tonnes of CO2 in the first year alone.

Because it’s located on-site, the system delivers energy with minimal transmission losses, making each kilowatt go further. It’s a long-term investment that supports both our environmental goals and energy cost management.

  • Millets Farm, 717 kWp

    Commercial & Residential

    Foundation:

    Piled

    Summary:

Before the solar installation, Millets Farm had considerable energy requirements driven by its diverse operations, including retail spaces, visitor attractions, and agricultural activities. The solar arrays were introduced to supply a large share of this demand.

Using our 2-in-Portrait piled mounting system and 1,434 solar panels, Millets Farm can now generate clean, renewable electricity that provides a significant portion of the farm’s overall power needs.

  • Scotland, 2.1 MWp

    Commercial & Residential

    Location: United Kingdom

    Foundation:

    C Pile

    Summary:

In early 2023 planning permission for 2.1MW solar array in the field behind a Perthshire, Scotland farm factory was granted. Complete with 3800 solar panels, the 2-in-Portrait system was installed on site using 2m C-Piles.

To maximise the return from the solar energy, lithium batteries and water storage tanks were installed to convert the solar energy into the hot water for everyday day washdowns and cleaning.
